Kingwood residents are stepping up their recycling efforts and responsible disposal of hazardous materials. The Mayor's Office reports that in May alone, Kingwood recycled 112 tons of waste.
Additionally, the Kingwood Mobile BOPA (batteries, oil, paint and antifreeze) and Ewaste event on May 1st was a resounding success. More than 600 cars arrived with 57,000 pounds of materials that can now be disposed of properly.
The Kingwood Super Neighborhood Council thanks all the concerned citizens and volunteers who are doing their part to keep the area's natural beauty safe.
